David Emmerson

This is David Emmerson. He’s been a stalwart at Hawick United for over 25 years. He’s extremely intelligent and his football knowledge, any football, is unbelievable. He attends every training session and every game home and away. 

He runs the touch line every week for us and does it like a professional linesman. On the very odd occasion where he doesn’t run the line he videos the game. He has amassed a huge back catalog of games. He never misses a function or a fundraising event. He is the epitome of a passionate one club man. He is always allowed to make a speech at every dinner and he can relate every game and every scorer. 

It’s a bit of a running joke with us but whenever anyone wants to know how long is to go in a game, we ask David. He will tell you to the second. The club treat David like any other player or member of the club and everyone always make the time to speak to him at every game.
